Combined Naval Event 2027 runs 25–27 May 2027 at Farnborough International. Europe’s largest annual naval gathering brings more than 2,700 senior naval leaders from over 85 nations into one Hampshire venue for three days. Almost none of them drive themselves, and almost all of them arrive as a delegation rather than as an individual.

About Combined Naval Event 2027

CNE is the annual meeting point for naval command, procurement and industry across Europe and well beyond it. Five content streams run in parallel, which means delegates split, regroup and move between rooms all day, and it means the transport pattern is not one arrival and one departure — it is a rolling series of movements between hotels, the venue, evening receptions and airports. Navy Leaders sets the programme; we set the vehicle plan around it.

Why 85 nations create a specific transport problem

• Arrivals are international and staggered. Delegations land at Heathrow, Gatwick and Farnborough Airport across a 36-hour window, not in one wave.
• Rank travels with staff. A flag officer rarely arrives alone — aides, attachés and interpreters mean party sizes of four to eight are the norm.
• Evening programmes matter as much as the day. Receptions and dinners create a second, later movement peak that a standard taxi supply cannot absorb.
• Protocol is visible. Vehicle presentation, driver conduct and a clean unmarked arrival are part of how a delegation is received.
• Language and unfamiliarity. A named driver holding a board at an agreed gate removes an entire category of friction for a visiting party.

Access, gates and rail for Farnborough International

• Vehicle access is Gate F, Aerospace Boulevard, GU14 6TQ. Use the gate, not the venue postcode — satnavs mis-route to the far side of the airfield.
• Gate B, Trenchard Way is the pedestrian gate, with a coach layby used for drops and collections.
• Farnborough Main station is 1.5 miles from the halls, up to six trains an hour, and as fast as 34 minutes from London Waterloo.
• Aldershot, Farnborough North, North Camp and Frimley are all within about ten minutes by car if your delegates route differently.
• On-site parking is free for around 3,500 cars with 18 EV chargers, but a held executive vehicle is faster than parking and walking for a delegation on a schedule.

How group and delegation pricing is handled

Delegation, corporate and group movements are quoted as a logistics package, not as a mileage sum. We build the plan around vehicle-hours: airport collections, a held car between engagements, the evening reception run and the departure window. You receive one inclusive figure per vehicle per day, in writing, before anyone travels. Farnborough Taxi Cabs is not VAT registered, so there is no addition at invoice stage. Multi-day naval programmes are best appointed to a single specialist provider so that one coordinator holds the whole picture.

Booking advice for CNE week

• Send the delegation manifest early — party sizes drive vehicle mix more than distance does.
• Flag any protocol requirements at quote stage rather than on the day.
• Book the evening reception return at the same time as the morning run; late-night capacity in Hampshire is finite.
• Nominate one point of contact per nation or per delegation.
• For parties above seven, we run V-Class in convoy or an executive Sprinter — tell us in advance so the vehicles are ring-fenced.
